LEAKING WINDOW REPLACEMENT

Besides the fact that the paint was peeling off the corner board this corner appears to be structurally sound. Leaking corner trim caused structural failure of the framing that held the corner of the house from collapse. 40 years of neglect almost cost this homeowner their whole house. While the house is being carefully raised and supported, the rotten framing and 6” x 6” sill are surgically removed. New corner framework and sill are woven into the wall and re-secured to the foundation. After re-sheathing, residing and a classic paint job, the corner looks great and does its job. This corner looks good AND supports the entire house.
